Scissor Sisters New Single: Meh

Happy June!

So I meant to post this a couple of days ago, but....I didn't. So it's here now. I heard the streaming version of the song on their site and I couldn't make it through it, due to being thoroughly unimpressed. I held out hope for a super interesting video to accompany the track, but alas we are treated to them driving around in the streets of New York for a few minutes.

Maybe it will grow on me. Like melanoma.

Finally! Res Has A FREE Sophomore Album

There's a high chance you don't remember Res from early last decade. There's a higher chance that that makes you less cool than me. "How I Do" was one of my favorite albums in my last years of high school. Well, like 8-9 years later, she has released her follow up "Black.Girls.Rock." and best of all it's free.

Head over to www.the1res.com and download it as well as a fully designed digibooklet to go along with it. It will please me. Make it so.

New, Shiny, and Green

I haven't the faintest clue if you've noticed, but aaronthebond has underwent a slight Restylane treatment. Gone are the bright vivid colors, in are the dark...vivid...colors.

A new theme with the site is "fighting the plastic people", in short this is an extension of the site's progression in the past year. There are plenty of posts showing what is actually awesome out there and being overlooked and pointing out the follies of the "popular" culture at large. Continue to look for the same kind of posts, just with a more fleshed-out sense of awareness that people like you trusty readers are responsible for making sure good music, design, movies and culture make it out beyond your screen.

Most importantly (well somewhat important) is the awesome new "Reactions" feature. You can leave immediate feedback on a post without those pesky "comments" and "typing" things getting in the way. Make sure to utilize them so I can figure out what is and isn't flying over so well and improve the general quality of the posts!

Also, from here on out, you should be able to share links to people's facebooks. I'm not 100% sure that it works properly yet, so just let me know if there are issues. UPDATE: This shit doesn't work. Sad. :P

Thoughts? Queries? Concerns? Anything? Leave me a comment....make the pain of loneliness go away...

Fascinating and Such: Fan Death's "Reunited"

They're possibly women, they're possibly British. They're definitely interesting. Give it a listen or four.

There's an Axl Rose look-a-like (but cute), how can you refuse? You can't

Day Glo, Don't Ya Know: Harder Video

Patrick Wolf "Hard Times" Video from biz3 publicity on Vimeo.

Patrick Wolf is one silly man. I think you can tell he's been hanging out with Tilda Swinton. Look at that hair.

New Scarlett Johansson Song!

I found Scarlett's first album of Tom Waits covers...how do I put this...not good. She's teaming up with Pete Yorn for a sophomore album called Break Up. You can listen to the first single here It's much catchier than anything she previously did. Here's hoping that the album follows suit. Or she'll stop. One of the two.

New No Doubt!

Sorry for my absence yesterday guys. I have less teeth than before! hooray!

Anyway, back to the blogging! No Doubt have released a new track called "Stand and Deliver". It's a cover of Adam and the Ants new wave hit back from 1981. It's catchy, it's good, it's nutritious.
