Need: Buffy Edition Jones Soda

So Jones soda, in an effort to become even cooler than they already are, is celebrating the Buffyverse by releasing a limited edition run of Buffy season 8 sodas in six different flavors. I need one of each, I expect them in the mail soon. Before he got fat I wanted to taste Xander's strawberries in real life anyway. It's time to live vicariously people.

So, as you very well may know, for the past year I've been kind of hung up on the Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtrack. Sarah Brightman plays Blind Mag in the film and "Chase the Morning" is kind of musically genius. I had heard of her before, but without Giles from Buffy slaughtering people in the same piece, she slipped under my radar in life. Now I fully understand the folly of my ways. The Fringe Musical Is Coming

On April 29th, FOX will air the musical version of Fringe (a la Buffy and Scrubs). I haven't watched any of the second season, as I often wait til the seasons are over and watch them all at once, but it's tempting to get around to watching the rest to see this.

The story takes place in Walter's head, and should be pretty insane...and awesome.

More (Possible) Buffy Blasphemy

Hollywood makes me want to crawl into a cave full of Albino dwarves. It seems that executives are eying Megan Fox (yes, that Transformers whore actress) to take over the role of Buffy Summers in the newly announced reboot of Joss Whedon's series. (just without the Whedon part). We can pray that either she gets mouth herpes or this just doesn't happen. One of the two. That sounds fair.

Oh Unholy Hell. Buffy Relaunch? Why?

It looks like the most unholy of things is coming to pass in a nearby theater soon. (No, it's not yet another Fast and Furious movie). The Kuzui couple (executive producers for the Buffy movie, tv show and Angel series) is planning a "reboot" of Joss Whedon's cult favorite show. However, Joss Whedon won't be involved as it stands now.

Kuzui owns the rights to the character somehow and they are looking to make an "event sized" film that introduces a "new generation" to the slayer.

Prepare for the backlash Kuzui, some of those kids really get into the vampire thing. Like...with biting. We can only hope they (Kuzui, not vampire kids)die before this comes to pass.

Buffy Is The Preggers

Sarah Michelle Gellar announced that her and hubby Freddy Prinze Jr. (apparently he was famous back in....yes) are expecting their first child. Maybe Sarah will insist her doctor refers to her epidural as getting staked. Or not. Perhaps there will be marshmallows.
