Henry Cavill: Swoon, Buckle and Repeat

I was gonna post the new pics of him as Superman. I was less impressed by his prettiness in those, so here you go. You're welcome society. you're welcome.

Catwoman: Meow, Vroom

Here's our first shot of Anne Hathaway as good ol' Selena Kyle. It looks like Anne Hathaway...with some goggles. And... Batman's bicycle? I'm...ok with this I suppose.

Oh Yes. They Did.

I want to meet the people behind this and touch their balls of steel. I do indeed.

To Watch List: Brave

Yes, it looks awesome. I do, however, have a question. Why is it every time there's a movie in Scotland it *has* to have the word Brave in it?

Ponder it.

Best Movie Tagline Ever.

Yeah, that sums it up. Because hills really had a bad rap before The Sound of Music, and actually since then too. They developed eyes...and zombies and shit.

Check out AdWeek's full list of the top 66 (because, that's the best top ___ number ever) here.

Catwoman

So it has been written, so it shall come to pass. And Tom Hardy is Bane. This shall be an interesting film indeed.

Zombie Index of Survival

Just in case you were settling into Zombieland and wanted to know *precisely* what kind of undead Woody and co would be dealing with, it's been put into handy dandy chart form for you. (see the...handy dandy chart....above).

Btw, Zombie Strippers is probably my favorite movie on this list.

Milla Jovovich Talks RE:4, Makes Me Sad

Milla Jovovich Video Interview RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE from ColliderVideos on Vimeo.

I'm a total sad geek for planning on seeing this first thing this weekend, but part of the interview made me quite worried about it (not like I'm expecting the next American Beauty going in or anything). Milla talks about how they've brought Alice "back down" from the pupil-dilating, everything drops dead and gives me an erection bad-assery to the "navy seal" level.

That's not what I was hoping for, for shame Resident Evil, for shame.

I Need To Be Productive

Instead of using Netflix this much. Really, you'd imagine I didn't do anything else...

*UPDATED* I don't do anything else. That's right.

Reason #6 Inception is Amazing

Over at boingboing they are posting about the amazingness of Inception (which is amazing). They're pointing out the wonderful attention to detail. Click here to see their thoughts and learn where I steal things from. Go off now, on your bike.

100 Greatest Movie Insults: NSFW Due To....Insults

Go, bask in the fuck-laden glory of this video. It will take ten minutes of your life, but you are guaranteed to enjoy it, unless you don't like fuck. But that makes you...you know against gay marriage or something. I forget which one means someone's thinking about you and get those mixed up.

Roger Ebert: Why I Hate 3-D

I stumbled across this Newsweek article by Roger Ebert giving 9 reasons that he, and the rest of us, should hate the way that Hollywood is putting all their eggs in the 3-D basket. (OMG it looks like it's soo close!)

Check out the piece here, what are your thoughts? Have you done the 3-D thing and felt like it was worth the cost of two movies?

I'm Predictable: Buried Poster

If there's one thing Aaron likes: it's sans serif capital type treatments. If there's another, it's an extraordinarily simple layout. If there's...another...it's Ryan Reynolds in my bed a box. This poster has nothing going against it. Except there's no dong....well not until I go into Photoshop.

Dorkgasm: Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer

No, the movies aren't any good. No, Milla Jovovich will never be quite as cool as Leeloo Dallas. That doesn't stop her from trying. Nor does it stop me from paying money to see her attempt it.

As a much needed note: this Claire Redfield being nearly as cool as Alice bull roar is not going to work.

BAFTA > Oscars

Proving once again that Britain makes America look like the cheap knockoff that we are, BAFTA has hired artist Tavis Coburn to do a series of neato posters for their Picture of the Year nominees. Check them all out here.

Avatar Defeated By The Notebook 2?

Jesus has determined that Avatar is no longer the most popular movie in the world. Lilly Kane has the power to end this terrible reign of blue and...shit. Bow before depressing Nicholas Sparks movies, they are our new kings.

14 Most Depressing Films Ever

Total Film has compiled a list of the 14 most depressing movies ever. It's pretty thorough and you shouldn't click it if you're sad. I just want a little emo song to start when you visit the page. Maybe Robert Pattison pouting in the right hand corner to give it some extra darkness.

Shockingly missing from this list? Spice World, when you find out Trevor left Nikola. Pure tear-jerking right there. A donut who knows who either of those characters are.

Check out their full list here.

Need To See: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

This reminds me of me in middle school, except my friends were....girls.
And I didn't have a hot older brother, that could have been weird. And dirty. Ew. ::brain bath::

Speaking of Evil: Avatar News

So it's official ladies and gentlemen. You have made Avatar the highest-grossing film of all time (not adjusting for inflation).
Pat yourselves on your blue Pocahontas hating backs. So far Cameron's Dances with Blue People has made $1.859 billion dollars.

There, go cry now. Cry like when your dad did that thing in your bikini area, it's essentially the same.

You've Seen It All Before

No wonder it's selling so well, it's the Pocahontas we've always dreamed of (ie without Native Americans). I can't wait until Avatar 2: Harrah's of Pandora.

Hell, make way for me.
