Prop 8 Ruled Unconstitutional

Well well, look at that. Someone in the state of California realizes that any law that denies citizens basic human rights is indeed unconstitutional. Fear not, Sarah Palin and her band of "mama grizzlies" will soon sound off on this and the answer will involve something about Russia and cubs and the liberal college of arts, I mean media.

But no, of course this ruling will be swiftly appealed by those crazy ass Christians who really can't focus on bettering the world through the actual things that Christ talked about and feel the need to stick their hypocritical fingers in everyone else's business.

Keep in mind, dear reader, that simply by visiting this site you're well above the average American citizen in nearly every respect, except perhaps gun ownership, or Glen Beck viewing records.

Ghosts of World War II

Sergey Larenkov is a Russian photographer who takes shots captured during World War 2 and superimposes them amid modern day photos of the same era. They serve as quite a striking reminder of how much history the streets of Europe contain. They also display that soldiers aren't really fashion conscious. Alas. I'mma Get You Bobby B

This is literally years old, but I love Maya Rudolph. I was looking for the funniest SNL skit ever (which is her Diana Ross in jail) and it literally DOES NOT EXIST in the internet. NBC doesn't have it, no other site has it. I could only find a transcript and reading is for you know...not me. I did, however, find this gem and I cried a little watching it. Not out of sadness, but out of onion induced agony. Or laughter, I never get those two straight.

New(ish) Lioness Video!

Canada's newest best band ever has released a video for their second single "What You Do Will Come Back To You". It's somewhat less weird (believe it or not) than the clip for "You're My Heart" (if you haven't seen it, check the archives here or look back on youtube). The song is absolutely amazing and I want to be the singer's new best friend. She needs a gay southern boy in her entourage, it's only common sense.

Hell Yes: LOST Tarot Cards

I lied, this totally fixes all my earlier problems. Flickr user  Alex Griendling (gravitybomb) has designed a series of LOST inspired "tarot" cards that scream awesome from every pore. I had a terrible time determining which one to use as the main picture. I decided to go for the character who had the most potential and the show completely squandered just because he went through puberty. The rest are freaking brilliant, check them all out here.
